I might get my mojo back ...finally ! I'm back at shooting food pictures again.
While down with the flu (or early symptoms of it), I dragged myself out of my bed to take pictures. The house was so quiet. It's only my 2 year old lab and myself, no TV or music on the background, nor my husband asking this and that. So peaceful.
The last couple of visits to my parents house in Indonesia, I managed to bring back part of my grandmother's dinnerware and glassware. Few pieces at a time. These are 'special' sets that were used only on special occasion, like birthdays, parties, and other celebrations. She acquired them few pieces at a time, from local auctions, mostly from expatriates left Indonesia for good. She had an eye for beautiful things. And I'm glad that now they belong to me.
... and that comes with few furniture as well. After we manage to ship them from Indonesia to USA in few months or so. I am so excited, partly because very soon my props will have their own dedicated storage, and the empty dining room will finally be filled with table, side buffet and chairs. But most of all, I can feel that part of my grandparents still live with me.
This is also my submission to this month Click!, hosted by Bee and Jai of Jugalbandi., theme: Heirloom

In the mean time, I started to put a daily photo series on this blog which shows scenes I captured during my trips. Dealing with close to 4000 images from a single trip was a daunting task. This will allow me to work one picture at a time. Hopefully by the time I finish with them, new batch(es) of pictures will come my way.
